Soon I’ll Have Websites Coming Out My Ears

March 26, 2009

I had a very busy day today. I am worked on setting up my hosting account and figuring out the details for some of my websites. I am going to be rebuilding a few of my sites while my work is slow, and teach myself some much needed web building skills. I am also getting ready to launch my Full Plate Junkie site.

My plan is to launch the site next week. I have filler articles in it for the time being so I can get the style down and get all the categories set up. I have some content to lay out and some last minute tweaks and I think I will be ready to go. It will consist of tips, tricks, how-to’s and more about getting everything done in life – doing things the smart way, the quick way and/or the cheap way. I love juggling my full plate and consider myself a grade A multi-tasker so I would like to share my talent and tips with the world. I think it will be a fun site to run, and I am looking forward to it quite a bit.

After FPJ is up and running I will be building up a site for Sean – something that is just up his alley. I don’t know how soon he will have it ready to go, but I would like to get my end of it ready for him so that when he is ready it is there waiting for him.

I am hoping in a few months I will have a total of 8 sites built (this is counting the three I am re-building). What a goal that is! If I can pull that off and have my gallery showing ready to go for the July I will be very happy. (I need to paint a few more paintings for the showing too)

Working on my projects is not as easy as it once was, as my time and attention go to Riley first and foremost these days. I am hoping with Sean’s new schedule I will be able to pull out a few more hours a week to work, and he will get more time to spend with the kiddo. Win-win. I know it has been hard on him to get home from work just in time for Rybear to get ready for bath and bed.

This evening I had dinner at my Dad’s house and Riley got to spend some time entertaining his grandparents. We stayed about a half an hour too long and I learned my lesson; poor guy was way-ready for bed. We have done such a good job getting our little guy on a schedule for bedtime that when 7:30 hits he is ready to get in the bath and go to bed. I told myself I would leave by then, and I blew it and we didn’t leave until 8. I know better now, and will keep to my kiddos schedule a little better next time.

So much to do tomorrow, I can’t wait.

Big news

Sean contacted several venues on Craigslist for my art and I got a call back for a local cafe. They liked my work and are going to showcase my art for the entire month of July in the cafe.

Woo hoo. That is so cool. I am going to try to finish a few pieces in the meantime so that I have some variety and some fresh work. She said I could say if I had print available as well, so I might look into that as well.

What great motivation to paint again, it has been a while!
